How to build a real estate business that gives you the freedom you want.

I recently asked my son what his favorite thing was about my real estate career. His answer was how my schedule allows me to spend a lot of time with him. How do I manage to balance a successful career with my family life?

“Focus on the people you love and who already love you.”

Firstly, I focus on the people I’ll run into naturally. I once helped a client who talked about selling for six or nine months before they decided, and every week, I would run into them at the same place. One day, they called and asked me to come over and let them know what their house was worth, and in 45 days, they had sold it with me. They got more for it than they ever imagined, and I was able to help.

I could do that because I already knew them. I don’t call 25 people every day; I work with people who already like and trust me. I focus on a small list of people I enjoy talking with rather than wasting my time and resources trying to reach out to everyone.. I’ll tell them jokes, and they’ll ask about my business.

95% of agents quit in their first two years. They got into the industry for freedom, to have time to be with their kids, and pursue their hobbies. Instead, they feel trapped by all the work they have to do, and every training they go to just tells them to do more.

If you want to have that freedom, give me a call. I can take a look at your business and see how you can improve it. I’d love to hear from you!
