Here’s how you can connect with the right people to work with.
An agent’s time is precious. If you manage your time poorly and spend it on the wrong people, your work-life balance may suffer terribly. Today I want to share two methods to connect with the right people so you can enjoy a thriving career while still having enough time for yourself:
1. Only work with people who believe in your way of handling business. Commit to only working with people who trust your way of handling real estate transactions. To find out if you and the other party will be a good fit, I suggest you do a grocery store test. Imagine meeting them in a grocery store by chance; would they want to have a conversation with you? Will you enjoy the conversation? As you leave the store, do you want to tell them to keep in contact with you more often? The people who pass this test are the ones you want to work with.
“Work with people who trust in your way of handling real estate transactions.”
2. Follow up on the people who passed the “grocery store test.” Once you find the people who like your business style, stay in touch with them two to three times a month. This way, you stay top of mind and become the first person they reach out to for any of their real estate concerns.
Don’t chase people you don’t know, and only work with people who appreciate your style of doing business. If you have more questions about this or are thinking about starting a real estate career, don’t hesitate to call or email me. I’ll be happy to help!
